Oxytetracycline HCL
yellow, light yellow powder, contains 755 mg Oxytetracycline
Hydrochloride in 1 gram. 755 mg
INDICATIONS:
Simoxy Fish 75.5% Oral Powder/Veterinary medicated premix is used in the treatment of the following diseases caused by
many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria in fresh and saltwater fish species (bream, sea bass, coral) raised by
aquaculture;
Frunkulosis caused by Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida,Bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia caused by
Aeromonas liquefaciens, A. Hidrophila, A. Sorbia especially in trout,Bacterial Septicemia caused by Pseudomonas sp,
Yersiniosis (Red Mouth Disease=ERM) caused by Yersinia ruckeri,Pasteurellosis (Pseudotuberculosis) caused by
Photobacterium damsela subsp. Piscicida,Vibriosis (scarlet fever) caused by Vibrio species such as Vibrio anguillarum,
Vibrio vulnificus, Vibrio alginolyticus,Cold Water Vibriosis caused by Vibrio anguillarum and Vibrio
salmonicida,Streptococcal diseases (β-hemolytic and non-hemolytic streptococci sp.),Cold Water Disease caused by
Flavobacterium psychrophilum (Rainbow trout fly syndrome=RTFS, Bacterial Cold Water Disease_BCWD),Juvenile rainbow
trout syndrome caused by Cytophaga psycrophila,Bacterial Gill Disease, Bacterial Fin Disease (columnaris disease) caused

USAGE AND DOSAGE:
c.a. for Fry Rainbow Trout Syndrome. The practical dose is 1 g Simoxy Fish 75.5% Oral Powder per 10 kg c.a for general
infections and 2.7 g Simoxy Fish 75.5% Oral Powder per 10 kg c.a for juvenile Rainbow Trout Syndrome. For feed ration of
1% of body weight, the amount of Simoxy Fish 75.5% Oral Powder required per kilogram of feed is 10 g, and 27 g for
juvenile Rainbow Trout Syndrome. The treatment period is at least 10 days. It is given up to 20 days in juvenile rainbow
trout syndrome.

Preparation of medicated feed: In the mixer or feed mixer (it should be clean, dry
and precise), 75.5% of the previously weighed amount of Simoxy Fish is put into the
mixer and 1% oil (fish oil, soybean oil or other suitable mineral oil) is sprayed with a
spray while the mixing process continues. After continuing mixing for another 2-5
minutes, the homogenized feed medication mixture is ready for use. Fish should be
fasted for 12-24 hours before the medicated feed is given. It is recommended to
prepare the medicated feed daily. The rate of medicated feed may vary according to
the temperature of the water and the size of the fish.
PRESENTATION: Simoxy Fish 75.5% Oral Powder is available in 20 g white colored
polyethylene bottles, 10x100 g aluminum foil bags and 500 g, 1 kg and 5 kg white
colored polyethylene packages without box.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Fish should not be offered for human consumption during treatment and after the last
drug application until the sum of daily water temperatures reaches 500 °C. (Drug
residue clearance time is 500 °C/day for fish meat).
