CONTENT:
Each ml contains 50 g ceftiofur (as ceftiofur hydrochloride). Ceftiofur
INDICATIONS: 50mg
Infections associated with bacteria sensitive to ceftiofur in
cattle.For the treatment of bacterial respiratory disease
associated with Mannheimia haemolytica (former Pasteurella
haemolytica), Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni
(former Haemophilus somnus).
For the treatment of acute interdigital necrobacillosis (panaritium, foot rot), associated with
Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus (Porphyromonas asaccharolytica).
For treatment of acute post-partum (puerperal) metritis within 10 days after calving associated
with Escherichia coli, Arcanobacterium pyogenes and Fusobacterium necrophorum and where
treatment with another antimicrobial has failed.
USAGE AND DOSAGE:.
Shake vigorously before use up to 60 seconds or until the complete resuspendability of the product.
Respiratory disease: 1 mg/kg body weight/day for 3 to 5 days by subcutaneous injection (1 ml
product/50 kg body weight/day).Acute interdigital necrobacillosis: 1 mg/kg body weight/day for 3
days by subcutaneous injection (1 ml product/50 kg body weight/day). Acute post-partum metritis
(within 10 days after calving): 1 mg/kg body weight/day for 5 days by subcutaneous injection (1 ml
product/50 kg body weight/day). In this infection, additional supportive therapy might be required in
some cases.
DRUG RESIDUE CAUTIONS:
Cattle should not be slaughtered for human consumption
during treatment and within 8 days of the last treatment. “0”
days for milk in cattle.
PRESENTATION: It is presented in vials of 50 ml, 100 ml and 250 ml.
