INDICATIONS: 5mg
HEKTAMEC-P.O. 0.5% Pour-On Solution is used for the
treatment and prevention of infections caused by the
following parasites in cattle.
Gastro-intestinal nematodes: Ostertagia ostertagi (adults and 4th instar larvae including inhibited
larvae), Haemonchus placei (adults and 4th instar larvae), Trichostrongylus axei (adults and 4th instar
larvae), Trichostrongylus colubriformis (adults and 4th instar larvae), Cooperia spp. (adults and 4th
instar larvae), Oesophagostomum radiatum (adults and 4th instar larvae), Strongyloides papillosus
(adults) Lung pinworms: Dictyocaulus viviparus (adults and 4th instar larvae) The causative agent of
nocturia (parasitic stage): Hypoderma bovis, Hypoderma Lineatum Lice Haematopinus eurysternus,
Solenopotes capillatus, Damalinia bovis Scabies causative agents: Sarcoptes scabei var. bovis,
Chorioptes bovis. The product can be used to reduce infestation in Chrioptes bovis, complete
elimination may not occur. HEKTAMEC-P.O. 0.5% Pour-On Solution, when used at recommended doses,
is effective for Trichostrongylus axei and Cooperia spp. up to day 14, Ostertagia ostertagi and
Oesophagostomum radiatum up to day 21 and Dictyocaulus viviparus (lungworm) up to day 28 after
treatment. It also provides control for horn fly (Haematobia irritans) for up to 35 days after treatment.

The practical dose table is given below; 1 ml/10 kg live weight,
